A leader must adapt to the organizational environment, speak the right leadership language, and practice the right behaviors. The complete Leadership Speedometer intervention works through a 12-month cycle, split into four modules: Self, Teams, Managers and the Organizations.

Its core objectives are to develop leaders to:

  • Understand the core behaviours of leadership which excite people to exceptional performance
  • Create a high performance culture through a compelling leadership language
  • Grow the ability to create a strong follower-ship through effective leadership practices

Lead Self

Defining the Leadership Canvas Before You Paint
This is a two and half day off-site retreat structured on the following learning objectives:.
  • Understand and take stock of organizational vision and strategy
  • Understand the organization’s priorities, and how one’s goals and personal values are aligned with them
  • Overcoming personal insecurities, fears, and biases
  • An understanding that ‘change’ is constant, and that leaders must learn to predict, adapt and manage change and ambiguities
  • Enable participants to discover their inner strength, and ‘Go Beyond’ the boundaries set by one’s limiting beliefs
  • Understand that leaders are those who can gain true commitment and followership versus mere compliance
  • Realize that senior leaders must be effective in both business competence and personal connection
  • Experience the High Performance Leadership Assessment: Understanding one’s ability to demonstrate and integrate the paradoxical leadership characteristics of competence and connection, both essential to inspiring the work force
  • Engaging the Engagers!

The methodology for this module is a mix of experiential learning using different metaphors, self introspection, focus group discussions, team sharing and learning, peer coaching and feedback from High Performance Leadership Assessment inventory.

Authentic Leadership – Creating the Followership Context
Leading Today’s Professionals™ (LTP) is a research based program that equips leaders of technical professionals with skills and strategies to leverage the expertise, independence and confidence of their direct reports.“Leading Today’s Professionals”, and has following learning objectives: 

  • Identify and understand the unique characteristics of the technical professionals they lead
  • Achieve increased productivity by leveraging the unique needs of technical professionals to achieve organizational goals
  • Understand and take action on the principles of engagement – when technical professionals make maximum contribution to achieve organizational goals and obtain maximum satisfaction from their work, they are then ‘enthused and in gear
  • Improve morale and retain top technical talent by creating an environment that supports the unique needs of the technical professionals
  • Create a personal leadership action plan which they follow up on the job utilizing the Online Leadership Resource Center
  • Prepare leaders to handle increased span of control, “player-coach” roles, and challenging team dynamics
  • Establish high-performance cultures in highly technical divisions or departments
  • Improve morale and retain top talent (both the leaders and their teams)

During the 2-day workshop participant focus on essential leadership skills, real world situations and leadership action plan. Participants will be able to make use of the online resource center after they complete the Core Program. This encourages continued skill and concept application back on the job with a variety of tools and resources including continued updating of the Leadership Action Plan.

Authentic Leadership – Adapting to Followership Context
This two day module is based on the research by Rob Goffee and Gareth Jones of London Business School under the title “Why Should Anyone be Led by YOU?” and has following learning objectives:

  • Understand that only effective leadership excites people to exceptional performance
  • Assess the needs of followers, and modify leadership approach using the CASE (Community, Authenticity, Significance, Excitement) method
  • Deploy personal values and differentiators to be an authentic leader
  • Understand that Leadership is to “Be more of yourself – with skill”, and practice such skills during the workshop
  • Size up situations and adapt leadership behaviours, while maintaining unique differentiators, to drive results
  • Consider the communication channels to get the message across, and communicate a vision of success and actions
  • Tap into a peer leadership community, and expand your influence beyond your team

The methodology for this module is based on the London Business School Research by Prof. Rob Goffee & Gareth Jones, under the title “Why Should Anyone Be Led By You?“. We also use 360 degree feedback for compiling individual CASE Profiles, and identifying the participant’s leadership challenges. The working session focuses on facilitator feedback and peer consulting to arrive at actionable solutions for real-life business or leadership issues.

This two day module is based on the extensive BlessingWhite research over the last 2 decades named ‘The Coaching Conundrum’, and is titled under the program “Helping Others Succeed”. The module is structured on the following learning objectives: .

Its pre-work is based on 180 degree feedback for developing Coaching Profiles for each Associate [‘coachee’] to enable a robust and meaningful Coaching Partnership.
